Description

"Field series" I couldn't have a better muse. I feel like I'm having a photography block. I love that I have happy beautiful photo's, but I miss my dark and moody ones as well. I tend to photograph with my feelings. Lately I've been happy. And while it's great and all...I really miss the darker side. I'll find it soon. You all will be the first to know.

I hear ya about being bored with happiness. Happiness isn't nearly the inspiration pain can be, for example...But if this is what you do when you're happy, then I soooo need to see what you do when you're not, lol. This is wonderful. Compo, tones, exposure...all great.

this is a fantastic portrait. well done. myself, i've never bought into the pain + despair = artistic excellence mindset. I've always thought that was a load of hooey. with your eye & talent, your work will be good regardless of your mental space.

i like both styles of your work, and i understand what you mean about artistic diversity. i also think you've grown as an artist since i last saw more moody pics, and you just continue to improve, so i'm looking forward to you revisiting the darker stuff.

Beth is a great model..We all go thru "periods" with our work..I feel it's important to learn to go with the flow, because you never know where it may take you. You may find your self exploring a completely different style or genre. For example, I was never really into taking photo's of people. Now I do it a lot !!!
