She is in one of those more memorable than real poses that fits nicely into a frame. People running tend to fly rather than keep at least one foot on the ground. This extreme stretch though goes with the first stride out of the starting blocks. Does a sprinter really get that exteme upper body torque totally reversed right left from the leg postion? Look how far back her left hand is and in a sort of throwing it away pose. Isn't this more likely at the finish line. After the race the mind sort of summarizes the 9 seconds into the most exciting climax. One of the great ones.

Tom-- Up to your usual standards. Some tiny nits - I think the framing around the girl could be a little wider and the textures in the bacdk of the room are registering a bit flat for me. Like the pose, the expression and the lighting on the girl.
