The little cutie with me in this photo is my three year old daughter. She is the sweetest little girl you have ever seen. Her mother and I were truely blessed.

Sure enough. People have big enough balls when they can hide behind a computer and the internet. Good work.

Great render!
Oils_on_Display
.:lol - this is the funniest image I've seen in ages - great work:.

WOW, wow, wow, are you delusional. We politely called you out for trying to pass off a obvious photomanipulation as a poser render, and we're the trolls? If you really want to show us up, show us some wireframes, etc. to prove your work. Your last render looks nothing like any of your other work and has so many signs that it's a photo that it's not even funny.
Agun
"WOW, wow, wow," Rolls eyes I guess Gnolt really doesn't have anything better to do with his time.
fivecat
Do you consider flipping the bird and telling someone to get a life as "having something nice to say?" What a hypocrite.

Excellent!!

Constructive critisism can be seen as not saying something nice, but I am what I am. I thrive on comments, its why I upload. I suspect its what we all here crave. I have gotten angry emails from those who thought I was dissing their work, but I believe constructive critisism makes us better artists. I personally try not to upload whilst angry, thus the flipping off the collective audience image seen here. (Regardless of caveats) Actually, I like the color and tone of the scene. I have a tatoo chain completely around my left bicept to remind me to govern my passions. Its a good motto. The picture you've made here has many talented qualities aside from the angry/hurt demeanor it portrays.

...hmmmm, if these are Trolls i'm gona stop calling my self one...(and here I thought it was a funny moniker)...oh, almost forgot, great render and sentiment...

Dude I saw the image in question and it DID look like a photograph and while I KNOW it is possible to make a render look like a photograph because I have seen one like that (yes only one) Yours did look like a photo manipulation or just an outright photograph. if you did extrude the shirt like that you must have subdivided the hell out of the base figure to do it. Now you have muddied the waters by deleting the image in question so others cant look for themselves and like it was mentioned before all you had to do to prove yourself right was post a screenshot of the figure un rendered. I think you may want to delete this render as well because all you are doing is insulting people who didn't believe you for a good reason. now if you are still insisting that you did as you said I don't think many will believe with the image removed and no proof provided.

The Point is neither I nor anyone else here should have to "prove" anything to anyone. This is an art forum and we post art for people to enjoy nothing more. We aren't selling our work to the viewers and we are not asking them to validate our work with their approval. (Well I guess some people are but that is another story.) The people with issues need to realize that in the long run all they do is ruin the experience of enjoyment of art and community for other people. Yes I took the other one down. If some people can't appreciate a piece of my work for what it is then I really don't see the point in letting them ruin the experience for someone else. I post art here not models that I am selling in the market place. If you want to look at it and appreciate it fine. If you want to say something that might improve one of my pieces then fine. If you just want to hack at it because you can hide behind your little computer screen then please... go bother someone else and let everyone else have a nice day.

Hi everyone, first I just wanted to say that I am able to see both sides of points here on this issue. However, for myself for the most part...have had really great experiances on Renderosity over all. I will admit there was a photo I posted and I had to scan it into my pc {thus sometimes you get hairline flaws in the photos} as well;I had the film developed at a Walgreens to begin with. They do not always make sure dust etc..are free before printing your pics. Anyhow..a person I will leave un-named made an un-important comment about my photo as you could really hardly see it-- but up in the sky you could see a hair line tiny-tiny something....hardly noticable. There was one more person on here that one time made a really negative comment as well. I hate conflict..so I just ignored them both and I never respond to people like that. I think we all need to remember:if you are going to give constructive critisims then don't just pick apart someone's work. As most of us on this site have honestly admitted we are beginners/or intermediate. Not professionals that do this only as our living. I do not mind someone saying hey, if you try this, or do this next time you will get even a better ____what ever! I think this is the point that Agun is trying to make. But when there are some {not all} individuals on here that like to just be negitive all the time and comment on those that are not professionals. Or just pick apart one's work even for those tiny imperfections that isn't right? Wouldn't you agree? I guess mean people it makes them feel better about themselves...that is just mean. If it is true constructive critism be gentle and be aware these are real human beings on here..you know? None of us are better than others. I too understand if others feel some piece of art on here is not being represented correctly or honesty-to politely ask about it. Or maybe just kindly suggesting it be listed in a differenet manner. There is suppose to be a monerator on this website I thought...that is suppose to catch these things anyway. And defuse any situation between artists on here. None the less,as I am not siding with anyone but just expressing my opinions that is all. I want Renderosity to be a place that I feel comfortable uploading my work even if it is far from professional quality and not wanting to be insulted. As I have feelings too and that would hurt. I love Aguns work, and I also love dasquid, fivecat, and Gnolt,I am honored they are on this site and part of this group. Is there any solution to where everyone can bury the hatchet and Renderosity can just be a great kind hearted web site again? Please? Thank you for reading friends. Cathi

I'm not sure what has been said or what hasn't been said..... but I must say that I love your image.... I think that your colours and shadows are absolutely awesome! Great job, and keep it up!
jwiest
Well...not sure what image this was in regards to, but love the sentiment and nicely said/rendered!

You make a damn good point, Ace. I do give occasional pointers on how to possibly make a design better. But that's artistic criticism, not negative comments. I would never "bash" someone here. Congrats on speaking your mind and making this one...
