Description


This is the same spot at Huntington Beach where yesterday's fence is. I found out why the fences are there, though. They protect the nests of the least tern, a California shorebird. I was so curious I rode my bike back down to the beach just to try and find out, and sure enough, there are actually signs that tell the story!!

Great shot, and interesting information about the terns. I always like to learn a little something whenever I can! I assume the fences are to keep the people out, rather than the birds in? :)
