These are simply wonderful Tom, even with everything working against you like the flash and reducing the file size they are magnificent. PLEASE I am not sure how many pics you have taken of the Louvre but post as many as possible. :)

As a Frenchman, I am ashamed you probably know of Paris much more than I do, I didn't know anything about the inside of these apartments...These captures are stunning and a good history lesson for me !Thank you for sharing. JL

Love the results you got without additional lighting. I eventually hope to be able to photograph the interior detail of one of the few remaining grand old movie "palaces" here in Kansas City. There is lots of gilt and colored glass, large paintings, etc. Your photos here show you can do a lot with available light. Are these handheld or done with the aid of a tripod?
