wow very nice ... 80 hours? after it gets past 4 or 5 hours i give up and just start plop rending small pieces and that way i can save the image and plop render another part later.. :) just don't have the patience to have my system tied up that long... once again .. excelent work..

I love the ultrawide angle. it is definitively a plus but this floor is way too shining even if you dont go for hyperrealism

Box is a 550MHz Pentium (overclocked from 450) w/128MB RAM. The "Simple" scene is composed of a 78 MByte Bryce file, 706793 Polygons with a complete city rendered off screen. All props except the PC and plants were modeled by me from Bryce primitives. Rendered at Photo 768x512. I was looking for ambiance rather than realism Being only my third posting, I realy appreciate the 10 s from the masters whoms work I have long admired. Thanks.

I like this scene, and i don't care about the fact that the scene need 70 hours for rendering ! I like hard work like these one ! And if some people don't like the 'lack' of realism, i suggest then to buy Maya unlimited and a big SGI Octane and to give us lessons !

Spooky, chill man, harsh words make for harsh responses. This is a helpfull community, need we remind you of that? I think the scene works out just fine, it looks very complex and seems to be farely accurate to me. Much props to you JPK for your attention to detail and your patience, lord knows I could use some of that! I'd give a 10, but I don't do that often. Looking forward to seeing more of your work.

Render times go way up when you add lots of objects, especially if many of them are lights. Also there's the reflection factor. Floor and ceiling! I just hope Spooky3D evaluates all the simple abstract stuff by the same measuring stick. Realism is a nice goal, but I prefer to accredit those kinds of scenes with a complexity factor as well. That, and your composition, are exellent! I am a big fan of yours.

Some folks just can't see anything positive. Realism isn't the goal in creative art. This isn't Viewpoint Labs or the CAD department at work. The only thing I would refinish is the bench on the right. Still a ten for detail and obvious care that went into this scene.

I agree with the positive responses - and I would gladly give you more than a 10, if it was possible. Karin :-)
