Description

Our first day was filled with so many places to visit, and our second day was just as busy. We utilized the "hop on/hop off" bus, which allowed us to get around town very easily. We took the bus to Fleet Street, visited Saint Brides Church, then down Saint Paul's Cathedral. It was a wonderful day, the weather a bit gray, but all in all beautiful. The bells rang with a melody of welcome at the Cathedral as we took photos of the exterior. Interior photos are not allowed, which is unfortunate as it is absolutely spectacular. To our dismay, when we returned to the studio, none of the images we had captured at Saint Brides were on the memory card! Another visit was in order a few days later, the images of which turned out very nicely. The statue is of Queen Anne, who was one of two daughters of the Duke and Duchess of York, and the sister of the Mary. Queen Anne was the ruling monarch at the time Saint Paul's Cathedral was completed in 1710. Image captured 09/16/2007. Copyright 2007 Flicker Light Studio(tm).
