Description

Meet my boy, Ernie. My first born; now a Senior this year (OMG!) I can't believe how time flys. But these past 17 years have been so special to me. I am proud (and lucky) to say, I never missed a step in my babies lives. I was home with them every day until they were all in school full time. I am blessed, that I was able to do that; many are not. Not a day goes by where I don't think of a time I had with them when they were babies. I'm constantly reminded of things that still make me smile; and I love sharing those things with them today. They, of course, always wanna hear more. :) I have kept a daily journal since 1976; my whole life is down on paper (some things were never written lol); but from the moment I learned I was pregnant with Ernie, my journals turned into a long letter - to them. I wrote everything down. And I still write. This will go to them when I'm gone. What a TREASURE they will have!! I can remember asking my Grandma to write some stuff about her life - she says "Ohhh, I'm no writer". :-| What I would give to read it even if she just managed one PARAGRAPH. I'll quit. I hope you all have a wonderful start to this new week. Thanks so much for stopping by, and for all the wonderful comments you leave. Not a one goes unappreciated. Shari

Shari for the hesistant "Grandma"- They make wonderful DIY - Tell Me Your Story - Instant album/Journals ya know??? TRY looking at a major bookstore like Barnes & Nobles maybe??? They're BEAUTIFULLY done & ASK all the major questions anyone would want to KNOW about a family member's Life & history! I couldn't get my Dad to fill OUT the HUGE one I gave him for Christmas one year... sighhhh... But then my Family is what they had in mind for the term "Dysfunctional"! He DIED as he lived by CHOICE the last several years, miserably June 2, this year. Stubborn & hateful to his last gasp. ALL I wanted from him - was that LOUSY book - telling ME the Story I'll NEVER know now! I was adopted at 11.5 months in Germany. So I literally HAVE no "history" of my OWN! THAT course didn't change much with my own kids. I was THERE too- for every cry & baby milestone. I was just always "Disposable" to them - Not having "enough of anything {to WILL them} to make putting up with me - worth it"! So YES!!! ABSOLUTELY Document every breath - & - Wallpaper their WORLD with your LOVE & whistful musings! It WILL BE their FINEST Treasure one day! Handsome fella there Shari! You're a LUCKY - LUCKY WOMAN! Teri

Hi Ernie, hope you're fine. Your mother is a fantastic mother, I'm sure, but she's also a great artist. Lucky guy!!! Your son looks really cool and intelligent!

Well, you recorded the things one can not capture in a photo, very well. You also recorded the things one can not write down in words, very well. Splendid photo of your son.

Excellent portrait. It appears you brought wisdom with you and the old souls who chose you as their parent were deserving. Thanks.

Very handsome son you have. The years just seem to pass by so fast. I wished that my mother or grandmother would have written things down for me to read later in life. You are leaving something wonderful behind for your kids.
