Description

Inspired by my story "Siberlee's Good" on the Legends of Mernac Website - www.mernac.com -------------------------------- I awoke with the rising of the sun, as was my custom, but I did not want to open my eyes. Barak’s head was still lying gently across my bosom and I did not want to disturb his slumber. Besides, the feeling of total contentment from the night before still washed over me like the gentle sun’s rays on that pleasant spring morning. I was afraid that if I opened my eyes, I may find the whole thing had been but a dream. I may have stayed there forever in a sublime ecstasy had The One’s words not floated into my mind. “You have done good, my child,” her words came, “and for this, I have a gift for you both.” With her words, I could feel a new presence on Mernac and knew that someone was gazing upon our intertwined bodies and on opening my eyes I saw her. It was not The One as I suspected, but in her stead a ravishing light-skinned female with the most amazing, long flowing hair I had ever seen. It was blonde, as was mine, but a full three or four shades lighter. While mine has a rich golden-yellow hue, hers was closer to that of silver or white. As she sat quietly in a puddle of light surrounded by the shadows of a newly formed day, wherever the sunlight kissed her hair it radiated with brilliant sparks of gold. Though I had always thought I had fair skin, it was far darker than the porcelain skin that adorned her body. Her frame was more slender than mine and her features seemed more delicate, with the soft gentle curve of her face and a slightly upturned nose. Of all her beautiful features the one that drew my attention the most were her ears. Unlike the rounded ears that Barak and I had, hers were longer and came to a point. Seeing that I was now awake, she gracefully arose, revealing wondrous feminine curves from her taut, well-rounded bottom to the ample bosom that still retained the firm upturned shape that comes with youth. Her limbs were long and willowy, but I could see the toned muscles straining against her flawless skin and knew that she was extremely fit. But of all that I saw, it was her eyes that finally drew me in; their dark glossy brown texture contrasted so well against her pale skin and silvery hair. “I am Sola.” She said in a sweet voice as she absently raised her arm and pointed to the rising sun. “The One has sent me to you to help you bring life and light to this world.” Her words echoed the last thoughts I had before slipping into the land of dreams the night before. “I have powers in these matters but will need your help,” the vision of loveliness told us, as Barak had now also awakened. And of powers, she certainly did have them.
