Description

When I grow up I want to be just like mom! That's what this budding flower seems to be saying to me for some reason. Believe it or not these flowers were found in front of a store with a background of parking lot concrete not a misty morning as the background seems to imply here. Due to the minimal depth of field I was able to let the concrete substitute for sky here. The flowers were softly lit by late afternoon sun and the concrete was in cool blue shade so the colors here only needed a little enhancement to further imply the misty morning mood. I slightly softened the background in Photoshop - it was already pretty soft so not too much more was needed. I then used an adjustment layer to a slight blue cast to the background in the highlights and midtones and used the layer mask to restrict the coolness to the background - again only to enhance the effect that was already there. The original capture looks pretty close to this one, 5 minutes of postwork just enhanced what was already there. Thanks for viewing!
