Description

After a very long journey our tireless and infinitely dedicated star hopper finally found another creature worthy of her friendship. I've been working on this image since last year but was never quite satisfied with the result so I kept reworking it. I'm still not happy with it but I'm tired of messing with it, so here it is. I know it doesn't look very artistic but my goal was to make it look as real and plausible as possible. Bryce, DazStudio, Paintshop Pro 9

On the contrary. It's extremely artistic. Great fantasy feel. The trees are stunningly done. Superb in my opinion

This is such a charming concept, and so wonderfully executed. The moss in the trees and in the ground is just fantastic. The roots... I love this image and will make it as fave. Having said that, there's only one little thing that disturbs me: the light on the characters seems too strong when compared with the rest of the foreground, and the direction doesn't seem the same (I think it's the shadow of the girl that what we see projected in a root near the teddy, which is also a bit strange). I think it would enhance the drama of the image if they were more in the dark or shade. Anyway, an excellent image.

Superb!! I don't understand why you wouldn't be happy with that, so thanx for posting it! Beautifully crafted landscape - entirely plausible and believable! The trees are particularly well done - I love that moss! Even without the characters, this is great work, but the girl, her ship and the teddy elevate it to a whole different level. Rutra said it best: "Charming". 5 stars from me!

I forgot to clarify an item... her suit is so bright because it's made of a very highly reflective material, similar to brushed aluminum.

I don't know how you did this in Bryce, but it is incredibly beautiful. The scenery is very much remindful of some of Maxfield Parrish's work who is one of my most admired artists of all time.
