My Muse enjoys herself and sulks nicely,
Her sweet hair as a fallen curtain,
My Muse enjoys herself and laughs at my agonies,
A roguish smile on its hidden mouth...
My Muse enjoys herself and makes me sheep's eyes,
Dressed in silk, laces, and froufrou,
My Muse enjoys herself, takes the pose, teases,
While dumbfounded, on the painting I'm dying !
My Muse enjoys herself, pouts, stamps
While my paintbrushes follow her, fascinated,
My Muse enjoys herself, hides and come back again,
Middle-angel, middle-devil, but she's inspired me...
Ma Muse s'amuse et boude joliment,
Sa douce chevelure comme un rideau tombe,
Ma Muse s'amuse et rit de mes tourments,
Un sourire malicieux sur sa bouche cachee...
Ma Muse s'amuse et me fait les yeux doux,
Toute de soie vetue, de dentelles, de froufroux,
Ma Muse s'amuse, prend la pose, taquine,
Pendant que medusee, sur la toile je m'echine !
Ma Muse s'amuse, fait la moue, tape du pied
Pendant que mes pinceaux la suivent, fascines,
Ma Muse s'amuse, se cache et reparait
Mi-ange, mi-demon, mais elle m'a inspiree...
