Description

AloooooooHa! In some of my previous posts I had mentioned how rocky the area of beach is when surfing. Many a surfer has come out of the water bleeding from hitting the rocks here. Here is a shot to kind of emphasize that point. This guy is body surfing this rocky area without a helmet...hmmmmm, not the best thought out plan. But again risk and reward..and he is willing to take the risk to ride these waves. I'm happy to report these guys really do know what their doing and he came out unscathed from this ride....this time. I watched him for about an hour and each time he was able to pull out of the wave just in time. Pretty hairy to watch from the beach. Thanks for taking the time to drop in, and many thanks for your comments on my last image. A great week to all~ Aloha~

Great photo illustration of "Between a rock and a hard place!" Your ability to capture peak action with waves is once again proven!

This guy scares me just seeing your foto, but I know how they are. They take the chances to get the thrill, but I like just sitting on the beach watching them!! Great shot!!

Oh man, look at that rock seemingly right in front of him, and that's just the one we can see. Well seen and shot, Dave.

Who would have thought that a person would need to wear a helmet while surfing!! The two words just don't seem to go together! But I can certainly see why after reading your explanation! Wonderful action shot... love the choppiness of the water.

Wow that sure is a risky way to pass the time...but obviously these guys know the risks involved...unless they've hit their heads a few times already. ;^P Fascinating stuff, Na'e. What a moment you've captured and shared with us. It's not likely I'd ever see something like this, were it not for your wonderful posts. Thanks for sharing, as always. Have a beautiful week, my friend. Aloha -M :^) PS I'm glad you choose to stay on the beach. :^)

what an edge-of-your-seat kind of show!!! Excellent capture of this, Dave. You can see his face perfectly and you managed to capture the size of that wave against his size. wow .. he's brave. lol Glad he made it okay.

I would have thought he's hit the rock for sure. It would keep the old adrenalin pumping doing things like this.

excellent shooting that shows a message I agree with. Afterwards, rescue guys have to take risks as well to make them live !...
