Description

Some photos of Nelson Which is located in the Kootenay foothills in British Colombia Canada where we stayed for 7 days. Nelson is 12 hours(quite a distance across B.C.) or so on a Greyhound east from Vancouver city and is located next to Kootenay lake which is 100 miles long. The Selkirk mountains are also near to Nelson and are basically the Rocky mountains. There are 2 big wilderness parks nearby, Kokanee glacier provincial park and Valhalla provincial park. Both are stunningly beatiful with mountains, forrests, lakes and wildlife ! The top and right hand photos of Nelson were taken 300 metres up from a rock which you can hike up to and then look down on the town and lake, the bridge across the lake is noticable in the top and bottom photos. The bottom photo was taken from a pier which too small to be visible in the other two. Photos are unprocessed. Cheers.. Shaun
