armor looks a little bulky in second(smaller) image..in the midsection...mebbe it's just the angle...mebbe it's just me..looking forward to purchasing this package

Very good. I was looking for something like this foe long time. Positive critique: The texture of the armor look like plastic instead of from wood or metal. The arm/shoulder protection are too bulky...

Id re-texture it if it was mine. But otherwiase it looks great. I think proportions are very realistic. I love your work on the face.

Hairline is super. BTW, not for nuttin, but generally, a katana is worn with the curve facing up, thus if I'm seeing this right, the saya is upside down. Also agree with above on testures a little off. All in all, good piece though.

hmmm not bad at all.....only thing to bare in mind is that most japanese armour of the period is in fact laced together pieces of leather and steel. so maybe a decent texture map on the armour instead of the solid colour. The sword being worn edge upwards is a correct statement, but only depending on the blade worn. Katana were generally worn blade upwards but also normally paired with Wakizashi making the Daisho (or paired swords set) however the Katana in the image looks more like a Dotanaku or battle sword, which in its longer and heavier build and state did not lend itself to being drawn blade upwards so was normally worn blade down. the katana only measured up to maybe 2.8 feet in blade length...judging by the size of the balde shown the sword is either Dotanaku or maybe even No-dachi. No-Dachi being a huge fully 2 handed sword worn across the back and usually only carried by foot samurai due to its lack of usefullness on horseback. of final note, the japanese breastplate didnt drop as low as the western equivalent, so you might want to tweek its length slightly, the lower half is usualy formed of laquered plates instead of a single forged piece.... good work though. like the face. i look forward to seing the finished piece in the market place
