Description
I think this is a blacktailed skimmer, if I am wrong please tell me. This is the first dragonfly shot I have ever taken. I was so excited about it. I apologise for the weight of the file size, I have tried to reduce it without success. Sun is shining in Bay, I have a busy day ahead. I hope your day is beautiful too. Great going sis.. I am so tickled for ya.... I wasn't getting any e bots either and son and Dave worked an hr on the phone getting mine sorted out... I don't know what it was but logging on and not seeing anything from Renderosity in a weeks time got awful lonesome... Superb capture, Diane! I love this! The colors (as usual) are fantastically captured and the black vein pattern on the wings is exquisitely captured. You definitely caught the delicate (yet sturdy) nature of the dragonfly...and your first!? WOW. Oh, and trivia fact about dragonflies...did you know they can't walk on a horizontal surface? They can only climb. I have no idea why I brought that up, but there you have it. Maybe you can answer that one vital Trivial Pursuit question or something. But anyway, back to the image! It's utterly captivating and it's one of my favorites.
