Description

Ok, I am finally allowed to post the images that I did for the new Nightwish CD booklet! :) This image was created for the Islander song in the new Dark Passion Play CD. I used my Dad for the Model since he was so perfect! I really loved doing this image, and working with Nightwish was a dream :) There will be a few more coming soon :) Image painted in Photoshop CS with tablet. Thanks for looking! O My God!!!! This is really crazy good, I’m completely blown away! Gina you did an outstanding job for Nightwish, they definitely can be happy to have you illustrating the booklet! And once the CD is out I can proudly tell all the people I know “ Hey I know the girl who painted this booklet, she’s a good friend!” ;-) Absolutely fantastic job Gina, and hey if you meet the Nightwish guys (and new girl), tell them they have a great fan here in Germany!

Excellent scene. The character is brillantly done. I was about to ask if he was a Mike 3? 8-) Amazing details on his hand and face and the water rivulets running through his face. I don't know about the CD but, it will worrk perfectly as a cover for 'The old man and the sea'. Is it me or he looks like James Coburn? Superb job.

its good see you back Gina - this image is just so detailed and wonderful, really captures the feeling of the "captain" as it were... if that makes any sense... i havent heard Nightwish's songs...
