Description
Thanks for taking a gander....the statue was modeled in Silo, as were the trunks of the trees in the distance. Most of the other vegetation are modified Vue plants with some xfrog models thrown in as well.
This image originally looked quite different, but due to Vue acting up (basically it wouldn't load the image, I think because it was up to more than 2 billion polygons) I was forced (twice) to go back to a much earlier version and redo it. As with so many things in life, however, it forced me to try even harder, and thus what was so frustrating turned out to be helpful....

Beautiful scene. Really intricate, lots of different things in there, but it still has that pulled-together, finished quality that your work has. Really atmospheric. And love the layout. There's something really majestic about this piece, like the music's about to start and we're about to be swept cinematically into that forest.
