Description
This lock was a part of the gothenburg canal, it is replaced with newer ones today. The canal that was built 1810-1832 stretches some 190 km and has an altitude diffrence of 91.8 m. It is still in use today and offers a slow route from Gothenburg (Swedens westcoast) to the capital city Stockholm (eastcoast). It also allowes acces to Swedens to larger lakes (vÃnnern and VÃttern). Wasn´t sure if I made it clear that the lock still exist today, but is not in use. The image got an Hue/saturation and resize treatment in photoshop but is otherwise as shot.
