2007-30-09 - Berlin Marathon:
Running with the athlets - this is a dream for people from all around the world. Since many years the number of runners is limited, this year 42 000 were allowed, more then 250 000 had started a request.......
Some hundred runners are able to run with the favorites for some kilometers, then have to run more slowly. At my POV, which is ca. 7 kilometers after the startposition, the main field arrive 5 to 10 minutes after the favorites. It is like a swelling tide. At first one side of the street, then both sides, then the boardwalks at both sides.... I am in the middle now, inside the stream like a stranded sailor on a sandbank.... This lasts more than an hour....unbelievable !
