Description

In the midst of creation, a novel object is added to the landscape. This one is given form and substance by two creators each contributing from their own essence and environment. Will the combined effort yield something uniquely beautiful, more so than each could achieve on their own, or something beastly and incoherent... Many elements in our world are created and molded by different or even conflicting influences and the final result is... well either rich and complex or horribly fragmented, who's to judge? Please feel free to comment on artistic, technical or philosophical issues. Thanks.

Interesting concept :) I notice that water creates water while the celestial is the one who creates erath and solid elements on that picture... Wich is logical, since "Elohim" in the bible is a word that actually means... "The ones who came from the sky" -yep, no single god, the original creators were countless ;)

Really nicely done :) I like the co-creator concept as you might imagine, and I like the gender split, Female/Earth/Water/Blue and Male/Sky/Life(?)/Red. Nice job with the volumetrics too. Some of the ground plane is a bit grainy and you might want to either turn up antialiasing settings or run the render through the Reduce Noise filter in photoshop.

Great concept. Great image. I disagree with pjz99 regarding aliasing of the ground plane, I dont think it's noticeable, at least not to my eyes. This is just a matter of personal taste, but I would prefer if the volumetric light coming out of the sea hand would be of the same color of the sea itself, I think it would bring some balance and simmetry. Likewise the cloud of the air hand to be the same color of the corresponding light. The sea hand is obviously feminin which, of course, has a special meaning. Regarding the air hand, its gender is not clearly noticeable. It might help to convey the message if it would be more clearly masculin as, again, it would help to the simmetry and balance of the image. Also interesting to notice that the hands are not in opposing sides. They are on the same side of the image, thus really conveying the notion of co-creation. Well done and quite a good start in Vue.

If co-creation refers to creativity where more than one person is involved, then all creation is co-creation, just as Isaac Newton stated when he said he stood on the shoulders of giants. I don´t see any particular technical problem here. Anyhow, I want to say that, sometimes, without wanting it, we try to improve aspects inside an image, and what we do it is to create elements that turn away the attention of the entire work. For me, this image, as well as it is, it´s perfect. I think also that it´d be a good topic for watercolors.
