Nice shot and very good quality for a scan. The tree is very strange and contrasty with the naturalness of the background, loving the colours too. One thing tho, uploading something 1850x1301 is a bit large. Not only for the reason that if someone wanted to make a print of this for themselves they very easily could - i'm sure upscaling this would make an A4 print very possible without any discernable loss in quality. But also for those who wanted to see an "enlarged" version on the site you have to scroll around the photo which detracts from the reason for looking at the enlarged version.

I think a photo of this (high) quality deserves a better title. The scene is a landscape and I always like to know where. Thanks for telling us that it was originally shot as a slide though. What sort of scanner did you use?
