Description
This is a piece that captures an emotion from my childhood. I spent hundreds of days and nights thinking about the sky and the stars. These things are still a source of fascination and wonder but now, with age, they are so much more for they take me back to that earlier age and to the memories of the people and the memories of who I was so long ago. It is sad we have to get old to have that, but it is something for all you young ones to look forward to. Peace.

An observatory is an entrance to optical quality. The level of finish on a mirror or lens has to be better than 0.5 thousandths. It has to be micron level and fringe free. And it has to have some sort of mount and drive even if that is hand to track the stars and moon and sun. Keeping track of the universe is a job for the believers in the precise.
