Description

It's getting there. I'm working on a texture for the ear pieces and smoothing out intersecting surfaces to add realism. Can anyone give me some helpful advice regarding depth of field in Cinema.

Really nice work. Use the built in DOF-handels on the cameracone. There is one square for DOF in front of and behind. Just drag the handels. If you want to check it out, doubleclick on the camera in the object manager. :))

dof in cinema is ... well let me say: not that good :) possible work around is render a tif with chanel for depnes... I do not know the right phrase. and fake the dof in photoshop with a blur. hope I could help.

Yup. Cinema DOF is not so hot (Someone do a plugin!!). As suggested, move your camera into place. In its option enable DOF. Then use the sliders on the cam to set the Sharpness on your object and the front/rear focus to a placing of your choice. When you render save a DEPTH render too (if your using XL7). In photoshop load you image, duplicate the layer then load the DEPTH channel image into channels. CLRT-Click it then back in layers add a mask to the new layer. Add some gauss-blurr and enjoy. Alternately .. there is way to get REAL-REAL impressive DOF in C4D. It involves moving the CAM very slightly over two frames. Then render out with scene-motion-blur (and DOF setup on the CAM). Time consuming but SUPERB results.

Good job on the modelling. One point of contention. Red is for the right side and blue is for the left side. Right now, you have them switched around :)
