Description

At the weekends we are optionally required to help out around the farm. So when on my first weekend we were told we were to go out picking tomatoes in the fields i took my camera, and to my surprise there was an abundance of these flowers i have only ever seen in butterfly farms over here in the UK. And sure enough there were butterflies all over the place, must have been at least 5 different and easily recogniseable species around. Shame i dont know any of them, but as i told my guide when i went to the amazon, my primary interest in wildlife is aesthetic and hopefully with that, understanding and learning will come about. So i just had a bit of a search around for what species this is and the closest i could find was a "Lisa Sulphur" or "Eurema lisa" in latin or greek - whichever they use for scientific names... Anyway, thanks for stopping by to take a look. Enjoy! Rich
