Description

I was on task to shoot photos for our school marathon. I took my new lens (18-200mm VR stabilizing feature) to see how it would capture distant shots on a semi-cloudy day. It must work since I KNOW I was breathless from biking to get ahead of these two! LOL. The colors in Minnesota were almost at peak during the marathon and now the leaves have mostly blown away! Thanks for all your comments and ideas (Marlene!) on my portraits. Every bit of advice helps! God Bless you all. Jodie Please visit my personal website...

Ah... a nice curved roadway with Autumn surroundings... looks to me like that lens did a fine job, along with the photographer! An extremely nice image!

Sharp and interesting. So does the stabilization feature do away with the need for a tripod and such. I find the older I get, the shakier; maybe this is the way to go until I discover the lost fountain of youth.

Brilliant composition -- not easy for an action shot like this! Your photo really conveys a good sense of motion, Jodie. FIVE STARS

Nice picture, my action pictures usually have more motion than picture (BLUR)..Yours is clean and crisp. I do have a question, does the lady have three legs...LOL.....She must have an extra passenger. Todd

LOL@Todd. It's a family event so many people hitch on that third wheel for one youngster and many do the carrier like the Dad has behind the three-legged woman!

LOL. I'm picturing you huffing and puffing to get ahead of them. Thank goodness for image stabilization! What a cute capture. I love that wee head in the yellow wagon...I wouldn't mind someone pulling me around like that! Lucky kid! Congrats on the new lens, Jodie. I'm sure you'll do fabulous things with it.
