Description

This is for (KarmaSong) or better known to his friends as Jean-Luc. He is one of the most talented and brilliant men I've ever had the pleasure to get to know in my life and even more than that is one of my most true friends. (Only someone who was so close to me could tolerate my lengthy letters all the time. LOL ) Seriously though If you have a chance to check out his gallery you are in for a amazing adventure. He has traveled to places I can only dream of and shares them so well through his photos and words. Thanks Jean-Luc for your friendship, it is something I will always treasure for as long as I live. Dave Jean-Luc In The Temple Of The Bulls: Upon discovering this beautiful and long forgotten temple (a real super one by Mike & Richard ) our hero makes his way through it scoping out all the treasures that lie within. Upon rounding the corner and entering the throne room he encounters a deadly cobra. He doesn't run away, armed with his knife and Bullwhip Jean-Luc instead instinctively reaches for his weapon of choice. HIS CAMERA. So he can capture a shot of this once in a lifetime moment. Thanks and hope I put some smiles on some faces, Dave So people will know my character is a takeoff from the Indiana Jones movies so you can go check out here to help enjoy this more in case you've never seen the movies or heard of this character. http://www.indianajones.com/site/index.html By the way this one was a lot of work but so much fun to do. This is so perfect! I don't know Jean-Luc that well, only recently having discovered his gallery, but the little I know, you got him right! He is a most wonderful person, and one fabulous photographer! And excellent with other programs as well. I love the portrayal of him as Indiana Jones, in his younger years! Most wonderfully done render, done with great heart and great care!

Always enjoyed the adventures of Mr. Jones. However Jean-Luc appears a lot more a ease with snakes than Indy (excuse me, Henry Jr.) ever was.

A wonderful and fun image and narrative! I love the idea that faced with a rearing cobra, Jean-Luc whips out his trusty camera. Of course Indiana Jones didn't really like snakes very much, but then this is not Indiana Jones, but Jean-Luc. I love in the first IJ movie, where IJ goes through all the danger to get the artifact, only to be chided by his friend because he is scared by a snake in the plane. Excellent Temple of the Bulls! I like the Minoan mural. Wonderful composition and details! The POV and the pose and placement of Jean-Luc, make it easy to imagine him as having just come from behind the nearby wall and unexpectedly upon a snake. Terrific expression, eyes lit up in excitement rather than fear. I know that this daring explorer is quite able to handle a cobra, with neither of them getting hurt. I like the dolphin items just beyond the wall. Their partial inclusion is great to make the wall stand out and paint a sequence of events in my mind. Excellent light and shadows, superb scene, and great story!

Fantastic image and very realistic snake! I really like the idea of the camera as a weapon of defense. It occurs to me that photographers (including me) think the case of danger to photograph the first and only later realize that it was better to be afraid.

Wonderful render and composition, Dave. Cool dedi for Jean-Luc. Think i saw some of his 3D products somewhere..so he is a vendor i guess. I am also a long time Indiana Jones fan :) So i could not help smiling about your source of inspiration for this fine image #:o)
