Description
hello there...:). recenty painted, "Remains", in photoshop and painter. to have a place with ruins, with a sad mood and air, was my primary concern. for my initial sketches, refs were consulted before painting this from scratch. its a self-visualized/composed work. painted using tablet.
i did enjoy painted this whole ambience that defines what i had in my mind. hope u like it.

You succeeded with your concept, Waheed. The cloudy sky certainly sets a sad atmosphere upon the scene. The ruins add to the sadness. It also seems melancholy. I think another thing aids in communicating "sadness", that is the water with its waves rolling in at the bottom of the mountain. In one way they seem to embrace it, while in another way I sense symbolic tears. Just my "feeling" of the scene. Masterful painting! Hugs, Suzanne

If ever there were a painting of a building that could be said to "skulk" then this is such. SO much detail without being busy. The deep dark colors evoke such isolation and sadness. I love it!

The colors of course create a dark, meloncholy mood, but I believe the main element creating the sadness is the isolation. A fine and very expressive artwork. CC
