A poignant shot of the cemetery, Jock, although I can't figure out why you included that light or whatever in the close foreground. I like the late afternoon light and long shadows depicted in this shot.

great shot, reminds me of verdun wwI cemantry went there when I was young during a holiday with my parents crosses so far as the eye could see. Made me think what a power it would be if all those deadman had refused entering the war. They probably thought dying isnt going to happen to me just the other guys are concerned. I later used it as an argument to not do army service, I said if all soldier take theire personal resposabilitieand dont go the generalscan fight theire own war and cassulties are limited decimals instead of millions. have a nice day Jock I dint see my last comment in the list under the pic did you kinda block me ? If so why?

It would be interesting to find out what those lights mean, or are used for in cemeteries. I've never seen one of those, either.

If I was Karl, I wouldn't be too happy to have this big spotlight right by my head. Hard to get any proper rest that way. Good shot, Jock! Good lighting and not a typical shot of a millitary graveyard.

You managed to capture beside the flood light one tablet different from the others. (on the left) Nonuniform. The secretary once demanded I know, "You cannot be two places at a single time." A counseor told me in an equally demanding tone, "There is only one." So how can anyone ever win a war?

It's a good thing to remember those we lost that were serving our country. We have the humongous Ft. Sam Houston Cemetery here. Some of the graves are very, very old. Thanks for the peek! (:
