Really like it Foolishness’ Has been too much Too many times A part A part of you dies No longer having fun “Gracie” had a good time Thinking it was cool Hurt can it hide Bleed to the soul But will it dream It can hurt It can hide It can bleed through Words come to mind Have used everyone A new name to call Me myself and I Stupid Silly Idiot Ridiculous Dumb A foolish little worry Been teaching myself to behave “Gracie” has a good time Teaching Behaving Is behaving with you Might be uncomfortable A little it might Might it hurt? Fantastic image, Linda. Your poem leads me in two directions, both with pain. But what sticks with me are the names to call oneself. We become the names we tag ourself with. I believe we should call ourselves by the names we want to be. Those names will help us to realize our dreams and hopes. Hugs, love and smiles! Suzanne
