Description

Time for a B&W! I've actually had a little time to play with some stuff that's been locked away all summer. I took this photo last winter along with several other cabin pictures. I've been trying to focus on a series of cabin shots. I've been exploring all over and these things are just out there and nobody ever really sees them, unless they happen to stumble upon them, like I have. So many times I've taken a dirt road into a canyon and hiked a little ways and "poof" there's a cabin in the least likely place! But that is what the gold rush days were all about. Surviving while you searched for gold or silver. Out in this harsh desert where life is brutal. I almost put this under the photo manip catagory, because I did do so much postwork to it. I wanted it to have a sense of surealism. To deliver the dramatic. I hope this does that. Let me know what you think!

It definitely has a dust bowl era feel to it. Excellent shot and outstanding postwork.

It's dramatic alright,I like it. If this old shack could talk it would have so many interesting tales to tell us of years gone by. Great shot and postwork.
