Description
This is a stippling I done 10 years ago as a high school metamorphosis assignment ( before my CG days). I ran across it while going threw old work and decided to scan animate and Photoshop it. Whatâ??s ironic is that the original name I gave this Peace 10 years ago was â??Future aggression of Americaâ?? back in 97 after writing a paper on foreign policy for social studies. This Peace brings back a lot of memories.

Not sure I understand. The AK-47 is a Russian weapon, not an American one.

wow what we fear the most, one day we are good guys and then we are bad, o well that is the price of dollar we are the dark side and our goverment is going down wiht freedom and speach and human rights it is some what of 84. I know that we are good in heart but for how long people will hold the power greedy companies and politicians, how long before our forfather come up from grave and hit us over the head with stupid sign and let us know what we fought for, for how long we are going to stend and let others do and say what we are.This is nice work it should make a lot of people think but then it is hard to think!!! GIVE ME FREEDOM OR DEATH.

I´d say it´s an excellent work for the theme. Yes, the AK-47 is russian, but it´s the synonym for an assault rifle and for violence. "Give me freedom or death", "give me liberty or death", both is used by the left as well as by members of the plitical right. The question is: How you define freedom, Freedom from what? Freedom for what? Freedom for whom? It´s the difference between the meaning of the used values and the effects of the policies in their name, thats a shame. When we start to fill these noble words for which we should fight with meaning, it´s becoming hard to justify our actions.

thebasstard, I have a question. When has the Left ever uttered these phrases? The ones I know and hear are all of capitulation, negotiation(sp?), One needs only to look at Neville Chamberlain to see how the left deals with aggressors.

@Bill Wa Do you seriously claim (admit) to "knowing" anyone from the "Left"?? You'd undoubtedly call me "Left". But here's a flash: According to the polls 75 percent of the country are aligned with me. That makes me "Mainstream". I use the "liberty or death: idiom all the time. Even while the "Right-Wing" was drafting torture memos and the Patriot Act. Actions speak louder than words. See you at the polls...or will I? BTW what's all this talk of commies? "Commies" such as they are consist of: Cuba(BFD) N.Korea(BFD) Vietnam (our new Vacation Paradise) and Red China (our largest trading partner who carries most of our debt, and most of our former jobs.)
