I agree that this is an exceptional concept and the photo is wonderful in bringing that to actuality. Though the lighting is excellent for producing those great shadows that lend so much to the finished product, they are a bit harsh on the top part of the hand/arm. It almost washes out all the detail of that part of the hand. I assume that the golden yellow color on the bottom part of the hand/arm is intentional to show a warm glow for mood. I really like this in any case.

The color and texture and contrast make this a wonderful foto. I especially like the little piece of coral, just adds that little something to make the shot really great!!
