I am just beginning to discover the world of 3d, but I thought to post something to contribute to this site. Currently this pic shows a character that I would like to use in SF scenes later on. That is why it is placed in the SF Gallery.

... the mirrorball effect is, no, it is not bullshit, but just unspectacular. I know, that many other judges have an other interpretation. I wonder why so many "experts" this won't realize!!! By the way: the picture is ... good! But, please, mentioned to all other mentors: Try to realize, recognize and realize, what is really the good stuff whithin this great work!!

This is most certainly a very creative and awesomely rendered first work! I am by no means an expert but I think what ralfoswald was getting at is that while the mirror effect on the balls is really good it is not one of the best features of the image. IMO the lighting, shadows and your characters pose and expression really make the well placed scene come alive.
