Description

There’s a few of the smaller butterflies I’ve been trying to get a shot off for quite a while. Characteristically butterflies like this Gray Hairstreak are always on the move making it hard to get close enough to get a shot of them. I found this one setting on top of a flower and to my surprise I took 3 shots before he/she was off again. Haven’t had many days with such a beautiful blue sky and no clouds it was a great day for photography. Yikes, this one was tough to take considering the dof. You seem to have the butty or moth in fine focus. I really do like this shot. So many macros and close up shots (I call this one a close up) are all about the bug or flower or whatever. You have taken the lovely creature and made it all part of a lovely composition. Thanks very much for posting this photo. I would like to do as well in such shots.
