Description

‘If…’ If Lake Powell continues the loss of its water much like that of Lake Meade and other major southwestern reservoirs, we will see the bottom of the Glen Canyon for the first time since the late sixties – such as you see in this image. All we would then see is mud, silt and algae if the depletion of our water continues. Hopefully, this might be avoided through concerted efforts to conserve our water supplies. The so called ‘Global Warming’ - contrary to popular belief - is not as a result of abuse by the emissions of hydrocarbons – this is only the small picture. The real issue is that the Sun is getting hotter. In fact, all the planets in our Solar System are experiencing increased warming as is verified by our leading astronomers. This fact is not publicized. This event is a natural occurrence in the ongoing cycles of the Universe. Of course our politicians don’t want to hear this. They would prefer to sway the public into thinking that we can control this event by making sacrifices; and, to try raising funds for aimless programs. You be the judge; check out the facts. I want to give special thanks here to Buzzzzz and Twisted Universe for the .tgd file used here in conjunction with the 512 DEM file of ‘Bright Angel Point’ of the Grand Canyon. Together, they constitute the foundation for this image.

Wow, Bob! Fantastic formations, rocks and low-lying water effect. Great colors, surface and clouds. What an awesome and outstanding image, though the premise it's built upon- so to speak, is a frightening one. I agree with you whole-heartedly re the root/larger cause of global warming.

Yes, Bob... this is by far your best shown render using the new TG. I am well impressed. Also I echo your statement relating to the Carbon problem. I too believe it to be a (by and large) natural process. Oh, I had better give this a 10/5 rating. Thanks for sharing.

Great work but there is reason to believe that many politicians want us to believe what you are saying then they can ignore trying to aleviate the problem and raise taxes. The conditions happening on earth now are totally unprecedented.

Magnificent scene Bob! The surface textures throughout, and the rocks and boulders are all wonderful. It is obvious tremendous thought and care went into this image. An excellent message as well- a coworker just returned from a trip where she marveled at how shallow the Colorado river is.

Bob - congratulations on this stunner. You have got an excellent grip on many of the difficult aspects of this program now. I expect your understanding to blossom big time. Fantastic clouds, nice work on the boulders and excellent land forms. Cheers.

We are so quick to blame ourselves for the Earth's changing weather patters. Perhaps we are not helping, but somehow I know it's a whole lot larger than we are. But for your image - fantastic - a quantum leap for you here, Bob! From the clouds to the rocks, nothing except excellence!

Great render, some of the nicest boulders i've seen in tg2. I think you may of watched the documentary 'The great global warming swindel'. I saw that but i still keep an open mind where climate change is concerned. Its a very young field and nobody can really say for sure they know the causes are manmade, natural, or a mixture of the two..

Excellently done, Bob! I was thinking about a flooded terrain even before reading the information! I'm still sorry for Buzzzzz not posting on RR anymore! You are right about that special solar activity and also about the stinky politicians!!! I'm glad to see you posting often!!! :)
