Description
Another of my Lake District photos. This one is a view over Derwent Water looking north toward Keswick.
According to the tourist info, Derwent Water is the widest of all the lakes in the Lake District and it's certainly one of my favourite places. It is so peaceful there and one of the few places where problems just don't seem to matter.
This particular photo has not been touched up in any way whatsoever. It was taken shortly after daybreak on a fresh December morning and, that morning, it was difficult not to take stunning pictures. The lake was mirror calm and almost every picture was as near perfect as I could wish to take.
We used to go up twice a year but circumstances change and I've not been able to go for the last couple of years. I dearly wish to visit there again before too long. :-)
Enjoy.

Ah yes.. I remember it well, and the thought of that english breakfast to go back to.... Very striking photo, but even though the light and scene was perfect, one still has to point the camera in the right direction. Excellent shot.
