Description

Taking a break from my Greece pictures. I scanned some very old B&W negatives from about 30 years ago. My friend Naoto brought his new wife, Reiko, by while they were on their honeymoon and asked me to take some portraits. This is the first chance I've had to play with it in Photoshop. As always, I welcome comments & critiques. Thanks for having a look. -Alan

THIS is really fantastic. Love the light in the scarf and the expression on her face.

With Photoshop we really can do wonders at old pictures, that´s true! Thinking what I have just done with old photos, I can image what a great work you have done here!! It´s a fresh and romance image now!!

i love how the light is caught by the scarf, and her expression. it' s beautiful image. the composition conveys an odd uncertainty; neither the scarf nor the woman are wholly seen, and the cut off point on the woman is a little odd for such an animated pose. i like the sepia tone, but i'm curious as to how it looks in color. nice work!

As I was not connected last week (away for an out of ordinary journey in the Atlas mountains), LWitG (Last Week in the Gallery – week 41-2007 ) is a fantastic tool to catch up with all the excellent images uploaded during my absence.... Congratulations, Alan for your selection: you did an exceptional postwork job here ! expres_002.gif
