Will she peak or will she crash? I no longer ask myself the question. the option is now locked out. Back in the day, in 1981 when she was at the height of her power it seemed that she would extinguish my last vestiges of maculinity. But peace is an odd thing that has no followers in time of peace. By 1983, war was slithering out of my pant leg again. That is when I heard the song "Lucky Star" as I was seeking a shop to fix my air conditioning. I was in McLean, Virginia, a place known for it's CIA though company men say Langley. I had made a t-shirt with the phrase, "Red American Loves Company" and made a pilgrimmage to the Indian Treaty Room in the Old EOB. The World Bank and McNamara was right next door. I studied the exact pattern of pigeon droppings on the statue in the park out front for maybe an hour. I hoped anyone watching got very bored.
