Description
radioIO (read as "radio i/o") is one of the worlds largest Internet radio services. It was started in 1999 by Michael R. Roe, known to listeners as the "radioioGuy". In November of 2005, it became the world's first publicly traded internet radio operation through a reverse merger with Tampa, FL based powerCerv Corporation in which was formed ioWorldMedia,inc., ticker symbol iwdm.pk. As of February 2007, radioio's service broadcasts 23 ad-supported free streams, most or all of which are available through the iTunes radio service as well as through windowsMedia.com, shoutcast.com, and real.com.
