Description

I am visiting friends in New England at the moment. Although apparently the fall colors arent as spectacular as in other years, I still found a lot of fascinating spots to photograph. So I'll share a few with you. I am starting with a representative sight - lakeside view. I hope you like it.

it's interesting what a title can do to a piece. if this had just been named landscape, or some other more neutral title, i would have thought of it as a fairly standard photo. but the title made me look at the reflection, and how the surface of the water affects it. i would never have noticed how much more fantastic the house in the lake looks, and how the sky looks entirely different than the flat color visible above the real trees. i like how the reflected chimneys are separated from the house by the unruly scrub.
