Description
Yet, Not So Far Apart
A part of what is missing
Wondered what happened
Deep emotional connection
Where did it go?
Will it be found?
Why did I not try harder?
So many questions
Yet seek to will find
Drifter in and out
Touch many lives
Came in between
Scared of so many
Afraid it would bite
At times it would
Tear so much apart
Was it not funny?
Not anymore
Alone became my life
Drifted away to hide
Loneliness would follow
Drifting away so far
Was it real?
Or make believe
Not much really to tell
A loner what I was
Took everything to muster
Life was in my hands
Alone that I was
Wondering why...
I am to blame

You are not to blame for anything, sweet Linda. Not ever. You are not alone either. We are all here for you. Your work is incredibly beautiful. Your words heartfelt and painful. Gentle hugs, dear friend. Diane. xx

Superb artwork and writing!! There is a difference between being ALONE and being LONELY. I know many married couples who are ALONE living in the same house while I also know many SINGLE folks who are NOT lonely. OR .... In my own dumb analogy .... Even a broken clock is right TWICE a day .... AND .... When one hunts for deer here in the fall season, some take the approach of walking around acres and acres of land all day long to exhaustion to FIND a deer .... While some just SIT DOWN and WAIT .... if they wait long enough, a deer most always passes by their way. Methinks one has to just let things come TO them in their own times and ways. Methinks, also, folks might try to stop thinking so hard about LIFE and just LIVE it? Keep on Keepin On, kind soul .... OR .... "Don't look BACK, something might be gaining on you" (Satchel Paige - Old Negro League pitcher - pitched well into his 50s!!). WINK. My best, TallPockets.

Very beautiful works again, Linda! Sometimes I would like to be alone or lonely! Not sure which one is better! :)

Excellent retrospective in poetic form, Linda. I like the contrast of the past blossoming into a beautiful flower, as I interpret your image. The lesson, for me, is we make choices, and sometimes we find our choices weren't so hot, so we make new ones. It is life's journey to start out a seed and grow into a beautiful flower. Hugs, love and big smiles! Suzanne

I love the topsy-turvy POV on your image. It gives me a feeling of looking at something familiar and seeing it in a different way. Like loneliness. Or blame. Perhaps neither is as you had supposed. Gentle hugs coming your way, my friend. :)
