Description
This piece was inspired by a very moving and incredible film by Martyn Colbeck that I saw on PBS's "Nature" a couple of weeks ago about a family of African elephants, headed by the matriarch Echo, who Colbeck has filmed and photographed for over 15 years. The incredible love and wisdom elephants share is amazing. I tried to bring a little of that to this piece.
I loved getting to see wild elephants in Botswana, Africa almost 4 years ago astride a wonderful horse. What an experience!
Production notes: Silverkey 3D's African Elephant and Baby Elephant (at Daz) posed and morphed in Poser 5. Imported to and rendered in Bryce 5. Massive postwork in Photoshop CS with a Wacom Intuos 3 tablet to bring back the ellie's wonderful skin textures. Definitely best to take a peek at the full view to see all the detail.
