Größter Trimaran
Trimarane sind Dreirumpfboote, die für Wasserfahrzeuge extrem schnell sind und dabei vergleichsweise stabil im Wasser liegen.
Der größte Trimaran der Welt ist die Fähre Benchijigua Express. Die 126,7 Meter lange und 30 Meter breite Schnellfähre der spanischen Reederei Fred Olsen verbindet die drei Kanarischen Inseln Teneriffa, La Gomera und La Palma.
An Bord der 40,5 Knoten schnellen Benchijigua Express haben 1.290 Fahrgäste Platz, ferner können bis zu 340 Autos oder alternativ auf 450 Metern Gesamtladefläche Lkws und Busse sowie 120 Autos verladen werden
