This is great! It makes me want to go and buy a pomegranite, and work out all those seeds. They are so nutritious, and not at all fattening, since you use more calories getting at the pulp than you get from eating it!

I love pomegranates. :o) When I was a little kid, our friends had a pomegranate tree in their yard. When they were ripe, we were all stained from them between eating them, and climbing in the tree. I hate to think what our mothers went through. This is a lovely image.

Gorgeous capture of color and the shine is quite exquisite...funny, the thumbnail made me think it was an exotic mushroom, but full sized is definitely the way to see this beauty. Great work!

Excellent shot of the pomegranate, Cecilia! If it weren't for the seeds and the stains it leaves I'd eat it all the time. Incidentally pomegranate juice is good for you but expensive.

I bought three of these yesterday at my local supermarket, it is one of my favourite fruits, it is very expensive out of season. Last week the were asking £1 each for them, this week they are down to 49 pence each. The trouble with Pomegranates is they are difficult, to extract the seeds. Very sweet fruit very exotic! Excellent capture Soffia, do you grow them yourself? Bravo!!!!!
