Description

G'day All! Well away from the animals for a minute, I thought I'd share this photo I took the other week & forgot about it. I called it Freedom because I know from when I use to surf that is how I felt on a wave. totally free from the troubles of the world.. Well it was my first real sports photo so I think it came out ok.. Thanx for viewing & your comments are always welcome :) Take care Shane

I admire anyone who can feel such freedom while sanding on a board that is traveling swiftly on the top of a large wave and not giving any thought to what happens if you fall off... :-) Wonderful shot.

Great shot Shane, it takes me back as well. Back to Bells Beach when the road in was only wheel tracks. Salt caked skin and aching limbs, the smell of coconut oil and wax. Meals and beers and girls at the Torquay Hotel ahhh yes those were the days :-)

Inspiring composition! Your work is excellent, as usual :) Thanks. An athlete, such as this, appears to have enterred a rarefied consciousness, where fear is relegated to a comprehension of practical elements of risk. The way you've "stopped" the action of the water spray captures the energy of his turn.

Oh yes, it's this sensation we have in this world of surf.. I remember so well, to take my plate and without wave, to stay hours and hours.. only listening the music of sea and to be free and in good.... Excellent picture ! Good day :)

I think this is very much more than okay, Shane. A wonderful action capture, I feel the same freedom when I am on the back of a horse. Hugs, hon. Di. xx

It must be a wonderful feeling to be able to do this, and only wish I could experience what that guy must be feeling. This is an excellent shot!!
