Description
Today at 1130 the sky above Bruntingthorpe should be torn apart when Vulcan XH558 flies after a rebuild by civilians which has been the biggest project ever in Uk air preservation.

I am very happy to announce that the Vulcan got airborne for her first flight in 14 years at 1227 BST .She will be flying over the English Midlands for about 35 minutes on test.

Excellent photo of a beautiful plane!! Vulcan was one of the best looking aircraft of the early post-war era, wchich was full of all these flying barrels and other weird stuff. :P

I remember watching a Vulcan bomber going through its paces at the Lucars air show many years ago, amazing plane, it would be good to see it again.

I remember seeing this beauty at her "final" public display at Cranfield, a very emotional moment as she flew low overhead with the words "goodbye" painted inside the open bomb bay doors. Absolutely delighted to see that my money has helped to get her finally back in the air once more - I can't wait for next years display season to start!!!

It's a shame we don't see these anymore, I remember when I was a small boy at an airshow and one of these flew over, I don't think I've ever heard anything so loud!!!! Nice shot!
