"In the ancient, nearly forgotten days of Shartrada, there came a time when the Nameless One reached down from the skies and touched the world with a finger of flame. The sun cried tears of fire, the clouds boiled, and the searing winds spread all kinds of pestilence and plague upon the creatures and people of the land. The world burned for three days and three nights before there was naught left to fuel the hellfires raging 'round the globe. After the rain of fire scorched the land and left no branch nor leaf alive , the waters of the world rose to untold heights, turned to blood and drowned the great crystal city by the sea. Legends say that when the waters finally receded and the world began to rise to life once more under the touch of the Seven Sisters, only the City remained unaffected by their magicks.
