Description

A quick tutorial on changing a photo into an oil painting without the mess, using Photoshop. 1. Dulpicate your photo in layers window 2. go to Image-adjustment-posterize.... I picked level 6 in the pop-up window. 3. go to Filter-Texture-texturizer...in the texturizer window, I used burlap with a relief of 12 and a scaling of 130% (this may vary depending on the resolution of your pic. I was at 300dpi) Use could use the canvas texture instead.. the main thing is to get a good grain in your picture. 4. Now use your smudge tool as a paint brush. Push the colors around and you'll see right away how it looks like oil paint. You can create your own style of painting or be like me and have no style...lol. I'm sure there are tons of other ways to do this, but this is what I came up with all by my little self...lol.. If you have any questions, feel free to IM me. I will be glad to help for only $100 per hour....lol..just kidding....about the $100 that is.
