Hi, I'm Marilyn. Â I've been posting here on RR for a few years now and thought it was time to update my profile. Â It's been wonderful learning so much from the amazingly talented people here. Â I've had the chance to meet many in person and some have become great and good friends. Â Starting with a Kodak Brownie camera when I was about 7 or 8, moving up to Instamatics, Polaroids, then the Pentax K1000 that really got me on the way, I've been looking at the world thru a lens for a long time. Â Got the bug honestly; my dad was a photographer and gave me the gene!! Â Digital changed the world and I jumped in with both feet. Â You would've gone thru 100's of rolls of film in one day the way we can shoot and delete all day long. Â Progess...it can be awesome sometimes.
At any rate, RR rocks, the talent is over the top and I'm just gonna keep on shooting!!
Thanks for looking and keep those cameras rollin'!!
peace.....marilyn

Hey there, cool shot. I never have figured out what gazing balls were for. They don't mirror things well and they aren't cheap... I guess this tells me why they are so popular... you can see your own reflection in them. :-)

Great shot and excellent color! I love the light and airy feel that you've also captured in this image!

Very cool shot of you and warm Florida livin'. (I grew up in Fort Lauderdale and remember this feeling well.) Love the hat and the tiny edgings of your camera!!

What a fun self-portrait! This turned out great. (I just noticed I keep tilting my head to look at it - didn't know I was doing that!) :) I love the trees behind you, and the bit of sky, too - they give this a nice context. Nicely seen!

Like your idea. Quite surreal. I like the turquoise colour thats come through. Cool photography.
